Private equity firm Inflexion opens Singapore office

Inflexion, a European mid-market private equity firm, has appointed Shane Gong as a managing director in the investor relations team as it opened an office in Singapore.

Gong will lead investor coverage in the Asia-Pacific region and is the latest in a series of senior investor relations appointments which have also included Sachin Mitra, managing director leading investor efforts in EMEA, and Alec Cote, director, focused on North American investors.

Gong has over 20 years of experience in private equity capital raising, direct investing and M&A across Asia. Before his latest appointment, he spent five years as managing director and head of Evercore’s APAC private capital advisory group.

Prior to that, he spent over a decade with Australian PE firm, CPE Capital ( formerly CHAMP Private Equity ), with investing and capital formation functions. Before CPE Capital, Gong worked in M&A advisory at Rothschild and Macquarie Group.

Mitra has over 15 years of investor relations experience.  Before Inflexion, he was a partner and global co-head of relationship management at Aviditi Advisors, an independent alternative advisory firm that was acquired by Piper Sandler. Before that, he spent almost ten years with the Evercore Private Fund covering investors across the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to his latest role, Cote was a principal at Carlyle Group where he spent nearly a decade focused on relationship management, product development, fund formation, and marketing strategy across Carlyle's investment platform.
